A mezuzah is a piece of parchment contained in a decorative case inscribed with specified Hebrew verses from the Torah. It is s affixed to the doorframe in Jewish homes to fulfill the mitzvah to inscribe the words of the Shema “on the doorposts of your house”. (2010)

The sedder plate is a special plate containing symbolic foods eaten or displayed at the Passover Seder, a Jewish ritual feast. It is ornamentated with myrtle leaves and decorated with touches of golden luster. (2012)
